My school is not in the list.

First try to enter an asterisk (*) in the search window. All participating universities will then be displayed. If your university is not listed, check your university's software offerings on the web pages of your computer center and inquire specifically about Office 365. You may have received a voucher with a validation key (19-digit key) or may be able to obtain one from your university or school. If this is the case, all you need to do is register at www.officefuerbildung.de and you will be able to acquire Microsoft 365 Apps very cheaply.


My school is not in the list.

If you are a member of a school, you were unfortunately misdirected to this website. You should have received a voucher with a validation key (19-digit key) from your school or can obtain one from your school. Please log in to the correct self-administration portal www.officefuerbildung.de, there you can acquire Microsoft 365 Apps.


What can I get here?

Once you can log on to this portal bildung365.de successfully, you are eligible for receiving Microsoft Software either free of charge or for a few Euro per year. You can obtain the entire Microsoft Office suite via this portal for local installation on 5 PCs and Macs and, additionally, on 5 mobile devices. The Office suite, called Microsoft 365 Apps, is associated with an Office 365 account that includes additional services. In addition, you can obtain media plus one permanent product key of Windows 10 Education free of charge, provided you are an enrolled student.


How long may I use Windows 10 Education?

Your license remains valid indefinitely and does not expire when you change your status or leave your school.


How long may I use the Microsoft 365 Apps?

Your use right for the Microsoft 365 Apps expires for good once you leave your school. However, there is a grace period.

In case you are purchasing Microsoft 365 Apps via this portal, your Office 365 account remains activated for a full year, counted from its creation date and irrespective of your student or staff status. The expiration date of your Office 365 account is shown on the following web pages. You may prolong your Office 365 account by another full year by paying the annual fee again. You can do so already 3 months prior to its expiration. The new expiration date lies exactly one full year after the current one.

In case your university enables you to acquire Microsoft 365 Apps free of charge via this portal, the following conditions apply. We are obliged to check your student or staff status once a year. We perform this check electronically each year on the day where you have initially created your Office 365 account. If we can verify your status, we automatically prolong your Office 365 account for another full year. Since this process is not very reliable, we highly recommend you to manually prolong your Office 365 account simply by signing in to bildung365.de and selecting "Change Account" and then "Prolong Account". If your status cannot be verified, we block your Office 365 account and delete it after 3 months automatically.

Please be sure to send an email to officesupport@drvis.com immediately if your account was blocked erroneously and include your Office 365 account name. Please be aware that we do not know your real name.


I cannot sign in. Where can I get help?

Technically, you need to be able to sign in to the Shibboleth authentication system of your school and this system must then be able to transfer your complete logon data to our servers. In case something goes wrong, please send an email to officesupport@drvis.com. Please send us your school’s name, your status (student or staff), and attach a screenshot that elucidates your issue.


What kind of personal data do you receive from my school?

We receive your status (student or staff) and your school. We do not receive your real name, but only an encrypted hash value based on your name and student ID that uniquely identifies you within your school. We need these data to obey Microsoft’s licensing conditions for the educational versions of Windows and - in case your university supports it - Office.

In case you need technical support via our help desk for Office, officesupport@drvis.com, please do not forget to include your validation key and/or your Office 365 account name. Otherwise we cannot identify your Office 365 account.
